Ben Abaidoo is an undergraduate researcher in the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, majoring in Applied Biotechnology. In the West Laboratory, Ben has played a vital role in the data collection and interpretation of the Normal Pig Gait Study, aiding in animal habituation, surgeries and gait analysis. His latest work is in characterizing and assessing anxiety-related behaviors in the porcine model. Upon graduating from the University of Georgia in the Fall of 2017 with a B.S.A.B in Applied Biotechnology, one of his academic goals is the pursuit of a PhD in the field of regenerative medicine. He intends to engage in more research, potentially conducting large-scale experiments using stem cells to treat diseases without an effective cure.
