Sonia is a 4th year undergraduate at UGA majoring in Biology and Psychology with an emphasis in Neuroscience and plans to attend medical school. She has a strong interest in regenerative medicine and hopes to continue being involved in the field in the future. She has assisted graduate students with Gait Analysis and the Acute iNSC Transplantation study. Currently, she is working with the other undergraduates on a study characterizing anxious behaviors in a pig model. Along with research in the West Lab, she also works in a Cellular Biology lab. She is excited to learn more about regenerative medicine during her time here. In her free time she likes to hike and read.
